ST. LOUIS, Nov. 1, 2013 – The Design Build Institute of America Mid-America Region, St. Louis Chapter has elected Brad Pierce, AIA, as their new president. Pierce is the Director of Architecture at Ross & Baruzzini, a globally recognized architectural and engineering planning, design, and consulting firm, and is instrumental in developing and furthering Ross & Baruzzini’s design-build business both regionally and nationally.
“It’s an honor to lead the St. Louis Chapter of an organization that is committed to advancing project delivery best practices,” said Pierce. “I am dedicated to working towards integrating the design and construction efforts in a way that yields high value to owners of projects. It is an effective way to streamline project costs while providing owners with projects that exceed their expectations.” Pierce has considerable experience in the integrated design and construction process and the coordination of large-scale, multi-disciplined projects. Pierce received both his master’s and bachelor’s degrees in architecture from Washington University.
In addition to Pierce, Michael Shea, AIA, Senior Vice President of the firm, and Jennifer Wanick, Government Specialist, have been chosen to serve on the St. Louis Chapter Steering Committee. Shea will serve as the Secretary/Treasurer, and Wanick will serve as the Technology Chair for the committee.
Founded in 1993, the Design Build Institute of America is an organization of leaders in the design and construction industry that aim to achieve high-performance projects by using a design-build project delivery method. The association is made up of a collaborative group of professionals that meet to display their knowledge, skills, and similar interests in the industry.
