Ross & Baruzzini provided mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering for a new Machine Shop/Warehouse Facility. HVAC systems included a vehicle exhaust system to enable vehicles to run while pulled into the machine shop, infra-red heaters to provide heat for the machine shop while the service doors are open and split system HVAC units to provide heating and cooling to administrative office area.  Electrical included designing three (3) separate electrical services to the machine shop. A 4160volt, 3-phase AC power system to a motor control center to work on 4160volt mining equipment, 995volt, 3-phase, DC system to work on mining equipment and a 480Y/277volt, 3-phase, 4-wire system with step down to 120/240volt, 1-phase, 3-wire for machine shop/warehouse building systems. The lighting design included the utilization of induction lamp technology due to high ceiling heights (over 40’) in the machine shop area.  Plumbing systems included domestic water service, gas service, and sanitary sewer and storm sewer systems.
