Upgrades to the St. Louis Forest Park Central Fields included two new public facilities – a 1,600sf concession stand and a 2,000sf dual-level comfort station and pavilion to support park activities and events. Designed to be tied into the fabric of Forest Park, the facilities feature natural cut limestone with systems, materials, finishes and fixtures that were carefully selected based on vandal-resistant materials. The imagery of the new pavilion and concession stand buildings also take visual cues from local buildings within the park such as the Muny Opera House and Jewel Box. Forest Park also hosts the St. Louis Zoo and St. Louis Art Museum, resulting in a unique combination of public entertainment venues that attract over 13 million visitors annually.
