The City of St. Louis performed multiple concurrent upgrades at the America’s Center, a convention center totaling over 1,000,000sf, including five exhibition halls, thirty-four meeting rooms, a theatre, and a full-service kitchen. Twenty-four separate projects were executed including security; restroom, ballroom, and kitchen renovations; escalator and elevator modifications; signage improvements; exhibit hall improvements; chiller, cooling tower, AHU, and boiler replacements; a roof and movable air wall replacement; interior painting; and other HVAC, lighting, and electrical system improvements.

Also provided commissioning services for the projects that included a chiller plant and boiler plant, air handling improvements, and major HVAC and lighting upgrades. Performed installation and startup verification, functional performance testing, and system and seasonal testing, including verification of performance during simulated and actual events. Particular emphasis was placed on the implementation of a user-friendly and accurate user interface for the building’s HVAC and lighting control systems.
