After the conceptual design is completed and the client/airline has agreed to move forward, engineering will start to refine the drawing into an engineering detailed drawing.
The detailed design is a set of drawings that are used for bidding, manufacturing, and installation. The BHS manufacturer will design and manufacture the BHS components based on the detailed design. The DD incorporates dimensions and elevations allowing the installation contractor to create shop and as-built drawings for installation.
