Ross & Baruzzini is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Crosby as Senior Aviation Consultant. With more than 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry, Crosby is an accredited airport executive and recognized expert in airport security, emergency management and public safety. He will be responsible for a wide range of business development activities in the domestic aviation market and offer executive management support to current aviation clients in the western region of the United States.
Crosby most recently served as the Director of Public Safety and Security at Portland International Airport/Port of Portland where he led the Public Safety & Security Department. In this role, he strategically directed, supervised and coordinated the public safety and security activities and operations of the Port’s three airports and three marine terminals to ensure conformance with applicable TSA, FAA, USCG and other federal, state and local requirements. Crosby provided direct input on airline affairs/agreements, air service development, capital improvement programs and environmental policy while managing multi-million dollar operating budgets and collective bargaining agreements.
At the national level, Crosby chaired AAAE’s Security Committee for five years, served on the ACI-NA Public Safety & Security Steering Group, the Executive Committee for the airport mutual aid group SEADOG/WESTDOG, and the Oversight Committee for National Safe Skies Alliance.

Crosby earned a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the United States Air Force Academy. He is a Brigadier General in the Oregon Air National Guard and a long-standing member of industry associations including the American Association of Airport Executives, Airports Council International-North America and American Association of Port Authorities.
