Washington University, IMSE Lab Commissioning
St. Louis, Missouri
Commissioned the critical laboratory spaces housing the Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (SIMS) instrumentation in this state-of-the-art geosciences imaging facility which required highly accurate control of temperature and humidity. Portable radiant and convective loads were employed to simulate actual operating conditions prior to instrument installation. A 4’ x 4’ x 4’ array of data loggers measured environmental conditions throughout the designated instrument location. Sensitivity analyses were conducted to define the system response to perturbations in upstream mechanical systems.
