U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lake Shelbyville Visitor Center
Competed and won a design-build competition for the 15,900sf LEED Silver visitor center/office building and complex overlooking Lake Shelbyville. The building is a traditional two-story brick building reflecting the heritage of historic Shelbyville on a heavily landscaped site that incorporates an outdoor classroom/pavilion, viewing turrets, patios and a fire pit along with connections to the existing trail system. The outdoor classroom/pavilion and viewing turrets are glu-laminated wood structures with standing seam metal roofs to match the primary building.
