Metropolitan Museum of Art
New York, New York
The project is part of an initial phase of a multi-year master plan renovation to “The MET,” involving the redevelopment and expansion of the Southwest Wing of the museum. At 2 million square feet, the MET is the largest art museum in the United States and serves more than 6 million visitors per year. DVS, a division of Ross & Baruzzini, provided design for physical and electronic security systems, video surveillance, access control, alarm monitoring, and visitor management systems. The project required coordination with MET IT and Security groups to ensure that existing infrastructure new operational criteria and MET standards were maintained and enhanced as needed.
