We served as the lead A/E for the programming, design, bidding, and construction administration phase services for a new single-story, 31,600-SF hardened building and associated site improvements at a 10-acre site on the Southwest portion of Ohlendorf Park. The facility is utilized as a new Emergency Communications Center to serve the St. Louis County Metropolitan Area. The construction documents for the building were developed using Revit 3D software.

As the lead A/E firm, Ross & Baruzzini provided programming, planning, architecture, interior design, and engineering of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, IT/communications and security systems as well as commissioning services. The ECC facility includes:

  • Emergency Operations Center for 70
  • 911 Call Center with 40 consoles
  • County Emergency Communications
  • Emergency Management Administration
  • Data Center
  • Utility Infrastructure and Support

The heavily wooded site includes:

  • Secure parking for 80
  • Visitor parking for 100 and media parking for 6 media trucks
  • Perimeter fencing with electronic gates
  • Radio transmission tower
  • Helicopter landing area
