In response to existing patient room inadequacies, Ross & Baruzzini performed a master planning study and provided full design services for a 2-story, 31,000-sf, patient room addition atop the existing Hospital and renovations to 38,000 square feet of existing patient room areas. The project created 46 new patient rooms and increased the facility-wide private room population from 39 to 107 beds. The project's inpatient nursing units included Medical and Surgical units, a Medical Telemetry unit, a Surgical Progressive unit, a Neurology unit and an Ortho & Joint unit. Sequencing of construction and phasing constraints were exactingly defined in the construction documents to minimize disruptions to operations throughout the 37-month construction period.
