Ross & Baruzzini designed emergency standby generators with automatic bypass/transfer switches for full power backup at the Elm Point Water Treatment Plant and the Lindenwood Booster Pump Station, including new buildings with special sound-reducing construction at both sites. The Ross & Baruzzini design also replaced the existing high service pumps, motors, motor control centers, and SCADA with wireless communications for centralized monitoring and control of the pumps at both locations. Process control of the plant pumps utilized MagnaDrive variable speed units to improve the control and maintainability of the system while extending its expected useful life.
