Ross & Baruzzini was the prime architect, mechanical, electrical and special systems engineer for the award-winning Lindbergh Tunnel project. It included the rerouting of Lindbergh Blvd., a major North/South artery, via construction of the first highway tunnel in the state of Missouri to accommodate a new runway. The development of the new runway included the relocation of a number of major utilities and roadways. As the first tunnel in the state, Ross & Baruzzini provided the architectural design of the entrance portals and ancillary building. This building houses the various life safety systems including emergency switchgear and a generator.
