Ross & Baruzzini provided engineering services for the new Southwest Student Housing. This exciting project created three new residence hall buildings totaling over 200,000-sf and housing approximately 640 beds for students on the campus. The new buildings contained numerous amenities, including private bathrooms, individual internet access, cable TV, and wireless communications. The buildings also housed several "living and learning" community spaces, which included classrooms, a computer lab, studies, and lounges, as well as a centrally located convenience store. Ross & Baruzzini also performed a life-cycle cost analysis of alternative mechanical systems to arrive at the most cost effective system solution for the new buildings.
