Ross & Baruzzini provided architecture, MEPFP and security consulting services for a 26,000-sf addition to the
existing Nuclear Reactor Research Facility to house a new cyclotron, research labs and offices. The new facility
was placed directly to the north of the existing reactor building and was linked with a glass enclosed lobby that
became the new front door to both buildings. The cyclotron will be used to develop and produce medical radioisotopes.
Research labs flank the cyclotron production area and are designed for future development. Administrative offices,
educational classrooms and support spaces were provided.
